THE SOLITUDE OF PEOPLE MANAGERS
From the experience on the field, first as an HRBP and then as a Counsellor and Coach, I realized that people manager sometimes live moments of solitude. They appear crushed between the expectations of the above and those of below and tense for competition with peers. It is a state of mind that they don’t express easily but that they recognize well when they have the opportunity to talk about it.
I think it is important for them to have individual spaces with neutral interlocutors who can accommodate this state of mind, with the aim of focusing their gaze on themselves and strengthening awareness of the direction to be followed in response to their needs, within their organizational role.
