A LEOPARD CAN’T CHANGE ITS SPOTS. MEETINGS.
Meetings, joy and pain of corporate lives, crucible of relationships, problem solutions, an opportunity of wasted time and saved time, a source of presenzialism, opportunities for the affirmation of incisive leadership…
The mantra before Covid was: there are too many meetings, time is wasted, we are always late, little decision is made…
The mantra during Covid: there are always too many meetings, even more than before; they are more efficient, but those that are not (because long, too many people, with little content) are unbearable.
Why can’t a leopard change its spots? Because we were very good at replacing the vice of having laptops open during meetings, which in most cases reduced the effectiveness of meetings by generating an annoying sense of distance, defocusing and disinterest, with the vice of keeping the cameras off (net of the times that personal situations make it appropriate or necessary), in order to have the laptop open to do something else.
When will we be able to say: ‘when I am there, I really must be there, otherwise it’s better not to be there’?
